This was one of those moments that catch your eye as you drive by, and just beg you to pull over. We were on a rented scooter on Phu Quoc island, heading back to our hotel as the sun went down, and I noticed these kids playing amongst what I assume are their family’s fishing nets. I’ve kept driving so many times, only to regret it later, that this time I just had to stop.
As I always found in Vietnam and Cambodia, the kids were both friendly and curious, so it didn’t take long for them to approach me right up close. I’ve included a series of shots below, which I think tells a nice little story.
